We have great pleasure in informing our clients that P-E Corporate Services and LMO Executive Services have decided to merge their respective businesses. The merger is effective from July 2009. It follows a series of discussions between both companies which were initiated some nine months ago. Mergers are often the result of companies perceiving a need to cut costs and overheads during periods of economic downturn. The motivation in this case is very different – both companies have performed strongly over the past year with increased workloads and staffing. LMO’s suite of highly regarded executive and specialist salary surveys will continue, complementing and strengthening P-ECS’ leading market position in this area. The combination of skills available within the merged company will also enable us to enhance further the quality of remuneration services we provide to our clients. As a combined business, therefore, we look forward to continuing to assist our joint clients in providing state of the art salary surveys and remuneration advisory services, leadership, behavioural and technique training and consulting solutions in human resource management, organisation and strategy. LMO’s long standing association with Watson Wyatt will also continue within the new structure. The principals of LMO, MelanieTrollip and Olof and Lionel van Schalkwijk, will all take up senior level appointments within the merged company. Melanie Trollip will assume the position of Director in Charge of the Salary Survey and Remuneration Practice and Olof van Schalkwijk will also join the Board as an Alternate Director.
