WATSON WYATT COMPITE COMPENSATION SURVEY

WATSON WYATT COMPITE COMPENSATION SURVEY

The Watson Wyatt/LMO CompITE Survey consists exclusively of companies providing Hi-tech services to the national market. There are a number of positions included that are unique to service providers rather than users of the industry’s services.

The survey is run in collaboration with Watson Wyatt, an international consultancy that has remuneration databases across 50 countries worldwide. The survey is in its 13th year of publication.

The “club survey” concept means that data is accessible only to participants and very much driven by their feedback and data needs. The survey provides information from over 50 companies, covering 240 positions, in 20 different job families.

An annual feedback function is held after publication of the survey results, identifying trends and forecasts. It is an ideal opportunity for networking within the industry.

Job Matching

Jobs may by matched on function – all major functional areas are covered, and or level as determined by the Watson Wyatt Global Grading – ensuring market rates can be determined for typical positions i.e. Finance, HR, Marketing etc., and those that are difficult to match i.e. business/alliance development, technical support/systems engineering, project management, business consulting, etc. The underpinning methodology that ensures valid job matches across functions and organizations is the Global Grading process that is quick yet effective in its application. It provides a transparent audit trail determining the sizing of jobs relative to their knowledge, skills and competencies and to the size and complexity of the organization. An unique characteristic is that it provides for a dual career ladder (management and technical/specialist/professional). A separate project fee will be charged for the implementation of Global Grading.

Scope

The Watson Wyatt/LMO CompITE survey covers most positions from management to the lowest level in the organization, including pre- and post sales & support, indirect/channel partner sales, bid management, business/alliance development, customer services (field & telephonic support), technical & non-technical support, business & technical consulting, systems engineering, research & development, QA, etc. It also cater for support functions such as logistics, purchasing, human resources, finance, legal, admin, etc. reducing the need to participate in too many different surveys.
